Each half of the wrap is cast on separately, worked from the bottom edge to the center, and grafted together or the joining method of your choice. The wrap can be customized to your desired length and width. Just know that your yarn requirements will change accordingly. Worked in crisp Cattail Silk, this lovely project will elevate any outfit.

Yarn

Purl Soho Cattail Silk - Lace weight; 100% silk; 618 yards (565 meters) / 100 g (3.5 oz)

2 skeins, photographed in Blue Bamboo

Or 1236 yards of lace weight yarn

Note: The sample used almost the entirety of the 2 skeins called for. I suggest purchasing a third skein to accommodate any variations in gauge. If you don’t end up using the 3rd skein you can return it/exchange it.

Gauge

23 sts and 30 rows = 4” over Stockinette stitch, blocked

Needles

US 3 / 3.25mm 32” circular needles, or size to obtain gauge.

Note: The wrap is worked back & forth in rows. Circular needles are used to accommodate the number of stitches for the wrap body.

Tapestry needle, blocking wires, blocking pins, stitch markers (2).
